The BOCO Boutique team was so thrilled to once again be recognised by Booking.com as one of Malta’s top boutique
Take a stroll through the historic streets of Cospicua and The Three Cities, enjoying a variety of restaurants and cafés set along the waterfront and yacht marina. This area is relatively unspoilt from urban development happening in other parts of Malta, and one can meander through the picturesque alleyways where time goes at a more sedate pace. Several centuries older than Valletta, this is where history itself was battled and written, an ideal stepping stone to explore the many archaeological and cultural attractions in the area.

Posted on Ania M16/03/2026Verified Malta Absolutely wonderful place! The hotel is in a fantastic location and is truly unique. From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into an art museum – every corner is original and beautifully designed. It’s a very special place. Tony and his team are incredibly helpful and welcoming. If you need any recommendations or help planning what to see, Tony is amazing. He took the time to show us places on the map and explain what is worth visiting. His knowledge of Malta’s history is fantastic, and it was a real pleasure listening to him talk about the island. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, with everything perfectly arranged. The price was also very reasonable for such a unique and high-quality place. The rooftop terrace is another highlight. It has an incredible view of the Three Cities, and you can enjoy coffee or drinks there. There are also games available, making it a lovely place to relax. I saw that there is a barbecue area as well, which must be wonderful in spring and summer. We visited in the middle of January and the weather was still lovely – a perfect escape from the UK. Mostly sunny with just a little rain, and we managed to explore a lot in just two days. Taxis in Malta are very affordable, so it’s easy to get around and visit the amazing restaurants nearby. This is one of the most romantic places I’ve stayed, and we will definitely come back. I’m already looking forward to seeing Tony again!Posted on Deew33010/03/2026Verified Wonderful place to stay! Close to the ferry terminal. Tony was very helpful and kind. The hotel was adorable and I enjoyed it immenselyPosted on Lisa G08/03/2026Verified Great place, great hotel, great hosts! The communication before our stay was excellent. We were greeted on arrival by Tony who instantly made us feel we had come to the right place! Our room had everything we needed. It was not huge, but certainly big enough, with a balcony and view across the Grand Harbour. Roof top honesty bar was a bonus and a nice place to relax after a hard days sightseeing! Tony gave us great recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, all reasonably priced. Breakfast was a good selection, with lovely cheerful staff. Location was perfect. Away from the crowds of the city, but just a short ferry or boat ride across the harbour. Plenty to see in The Three Cities as well. Would definitely choose to stay here again! Thank you all the BOCO team for a wonderful stay!Posted on Jeff V25/02/2026Verified An amazing place to stay EVERYTHING about this boutique hotel is wonderful. The location, the breakfasts, the rooms, the common areas and especially the people who work here, including Tony, the proprietor who is absolutely amazing. Part historian, part artist and designer, totally warm and definitely now a friend, Tony has created a true gem. Located in a beautiful neighborhood near everything but distant enough to be peaceful, this hotel offers an amazing roof deck with views of Malta and the harbor below. It's an easy walk to restaurants and museums and an easy cab or boat ride to the places you want to see. I can't say enough about this place. It makes a magical country that much more magical. Highly recommend.Posted on Alan S18/02/2026Verified A good week in Malta. We found it to be well placed in a quiet, historical area and handy for the ferry. It was welcoming, comfortable and clean. There were plenty of good places to eat nearby. The roof top lounge with honesty bar was a definite bonus. We had an amazing time at BOCO. First of all, it is located in a wonderful residential neighbourhood, filled with traditional houses. You can also find pretty easy a free... read more parking spot nearby. Also, it's a 10 minutes walk towards the fast ferry to Valletta (a must do). The hotel’s building is traditional, so you can enjoy a proper local experience (plus even your own traditional Maltese balcony ) and the interior is packed with artsy decorations that create a sophisticate style. Tony, the owner, was the perfect host - always nearby and made sure that we have a lovely stay at the hotel, helping us with anything that we needed: from restaurant recommendations, tips for places to visit and even sunscreen :). The breakfast selection was good and the kitchen personnel were very friendly and communicative. You could even take your breakfast upstairs, at the loft, and enjoy a magnificent view. We recommend also spending at least one evening on the terrace, drinking a prosecco that you can grab by yourself from the fridge. The entire concept of BOCO is based on friendship, so you will definitely feel like visiting an old friend. We will most certainly return for another vacation at BOCO Boutique Hotel. More
